Blog the Frog

You will all be happy to know Ethan is as bad as I am. "Get the camera! We can blog the frog!" Yepp... a chip off the mom block. The window box is a project I finally got done during the frog hunt. So if you take an inventory of our pet situation now you would find two cats, CoCo and Hazel, one bunny Peppercorn Sauce, a snake named Speedy, and Blog the frog. I can't even imagine what they will bring home next...

Everyone Loves a Parade...

At least the four of us do!!! We were able to enjoy the Jr Ski to Sea Parade together this year. I think my history of being thrown in the clink has given me a strange affinity for officers of the law. It's either that experience or Ethan and Jack consistently asking "is that the cop who hand cuffed you?!" Despite my constant request to "DROP IT" the fact mom was in the slammer provides a continuous source of curiosity and intrigue for my boys! If there is one thing not lacking in the four of us, it's some really insane, crazy memories from the last three years! Can't wait to see what happens next!

Mother's Day...

We spent mother's day just the four of us this year. It was a great, amazing, beautiful, afternoon of bonding. Mom, Bellie, EE, Jackers and some trout. Funny story... Ethan caught one. We for the most part are simply on a catch and release basis. Ethan has a heart for his fish and wants them to return to the water. Flapping and flopping on the bridge proved to be a bit much and the next thing he knew trout was dead. Ethan was okay with it, excited to use his stringer for the first time. On the way home we decided we would call our friend Mike and see if we could get a quick lesson on cleaning. He happily agreed, we both watched carefully to increase our fishing knowledge. Kelly, Mike's wife gave me the info needed to fry fresh trout up for Ethan's din din. We got home, walked into the kitchen and Ethan immediately started to cry. "What's wrong EE" He looked at me with his big tear filled eye's and said "I wanted pizza."
I had the best Mother's Day knowing I got the best catch it these three kids.

Big Catch!

The elusive was hooked tonight and Ethan experienced pure joy! I love to see him so happy. Here are a couple of more photos, including Iz in her self chosen Jammie's with fishing parka?! Independence reigned!
