Thanks Buhlers...

for the super fun time! We had the most fun the other day kayaking with Simone, Christian, Nolan and Ethan. Actually Simone and I had the luxury of sitting on the shore and relaxing most of the time. :)  To see the kids go out independently in the kayak was amazing to me! Christian did such an amazing job taking care of Isabelle and was an excellent guide!

I'm so happy that the beauty of this place still catches my attention. I promised myself when we moved from Nebraska fourteen years ago that I would never take it for granted, and as long as I am out of traffic, I think this is still the most beautiful place!

Jack, the always thoughtful one, even picked me a flower!

Ethan and Nolan always think of creative ways to play! After just watching Shark week with Joe tonight these pictures kind of scare me! Good thing there are no sharks in Lake Whatcom!

Birthday Girl

Isabellie Rellie turns ELEVEN...

A little poser, I guess that is what 11 years with me will get you!

Isabellie and Emily...
Her favorite present, that and new jammies from Emily and Auntie, Caleb and Mikey.

You know it has been a fun birthday if it ends like this...

The Forth Day of July...

Parade Girl here again... My husband had no idea what he was dealing with in the area of parades and me dragging him all over to attend. "THAT, was not in your profile!" I heard on the 4th as we watched the parade / candy fest in Blaine. It was our second time and this parade and it did not disappoint. Even Joe thought it was old fashioned, down home fun. I think he is warming up to parades, watching Isabelle enjoy them is worth the trip alone.

Joe and I had the evening alone (being that this year is even :(  ) but we enjoyed in completely by watching the fireworks explode right over our heads in front of the Bellwether Hotel. It was an excellent way to spend our first fourth together.

Check out the newest lovebirds... my friend Naomi and her new boyfriend Kevin, this makes me super happy. We met in the divorce recovery class at Cornwall. When I really sit and think about it, it get choked up about how God really does take care of us, heals our broken hearts and creates Joy out of C-rap.
I have been at this a while when I realized I made a blog post for both 2007 and 2006, I can't believe I still have a desire to to this time consuming little activity! The 2006 post really blew my mind, look how much they've grown!!!!

Sssssummer!

Once again I have to keep these three on the move to save my sanity. Today... fishing. We have been on a roll, three days this week and we have caught one or more everyday. It is so much more fun to be successful. Can't wait to see what tomorrow holds, after I hold the pillow over my head until 8:30 I guess we will decide...  :)
